Introduction to marine gear box

Marine gearboxes are an indispensable key equipment in the ship's power system. They are mainly used to transmit, convert and control the power generated by the engine to meet the needs of ship navigation.

Functions:

1. Speed reduction and torque increase: Through the combination of gears in the gearbox, the output shaft speed is reduced, and the output torque is increased to meet the needs of the ship's propeller.

2. Reverse and forward function: Allows the ship to reverse or move forward when needed.

3. Clutch function: When starting or stopping the engine, the power transmission is controlled by engaging and disengaging the clutch.

4. Withstand propeller thrust: The gearbox structure design must be able to withstand the reaction force generated by the propeller.

Structural features:

-Compact structure, small size and light weight to adapt to the space limitations of the ship.

-Use high-quality materials and advanced manufacturing processes to ensure reliability and durability.

-The design takes into account the vibration and impact loads of the ship to ensure stable operation of the gearbox.
